I Really Am Trying To Use My Stash!

I have been having fun the last few days with some quick and easy projects. These are first of several table runners I have been making. The one on the top does not have binding on it yet.
One of the things I wanted to do when I retired was to start using up my "stash". The truth is, I am using some of my stash but there are so many wonderful fabrics in the stores that I find myself having to add several new fabrics, to a few of the old ones I have been hoarding. I have been thinking of over dyeing some of my older fabrics to give them a new look.

Trying To Get A Few Things Done!

I haven't been creating much lately as the rest of my life seems to have gotten in the way. I did put together this quilt top this past week, using several purple fat quarters from my stash. I am not a purple person so working on it was not one of my favorite things to do. I shall give it to our church for the bazaar this fall. I know there are people that love purple.
This past Monday my husband Don had his right knee replaced. He could hardly walk and finally decided it was time. He came home from the hospital on Thursday and is doing great. He will be walking with a walker for a week and then should be able to get by with a cane for a while. He is looking forward to getting back on the golf course

Table Runner

I made this table runner for our coffee table. I needed something that was a little more summery. I purchased the huckleberry fabric that is in each square and the binding in Alaska a couple of years ago. When I look at the runner it reminds me of the trip.

Don and I will be going on a mission trip to Juneau, Alaska on June 30th. Along with three other people from our church, we will be helping to build cabins at a church camp. We should be home by July 9.. Hopefully, we will get to do a little salmon fishing.

I have not been doing very many post for the last several weeks as I have been involved in remodeling a home that our church owns. My part of the job is winding down and now it is time to get back to doing more fun things.

Convergence Quilt

I made this wall quilt from "Convergence Quilts" by Ricky Tims. It is one of the first ones in the book so it is fairly simple. I have made a couple of them and I think it is time to move on to some of his more complicated designs. I love the way the colors play with each other as they converage and the surprises that happen.

Fall Table Runner

I decided I need something "fallish" for the dining room table . I made this little runner, it measures 8" x 22". It has some little pumpkins and candles sitting on it. Fall has become my favorite time of year, instead of summer. Must be an age thing.
