Carving Stamps

I purchased a new book recently "Art Stamping Workshop" by Gloria Page. She has written about many different techniques on making stamps. I carved the stamps above from erasers and carving blocks (which are large erasers). I am excited about making my own stamps as there is no limit on what can be carved. I am working on getting more detail carved on the stamps.

What great stamps. I have thought about this, but mind you only "thought" about it. I bought a brayer at the art shop while on campus with my yesterday.

Very nice, Jacq. I have some carving blocks, but haven't played with it yet. Thanks for the book referral. I'll need to get that.

These stamps look detailed to me. Great job, Jacq!

Jacq, your stamps are wonderful! I love to carve stamps, too. I try to carve several each week, even when I don't have time to do anything else remotely creative. I think I'm going to have to buy the book you mention!
