I wanted to make some small gifts using pine needles so I decided to make a few pin cushions. The needles are stitched together with sinew. The center is made from felted wool. The basket is 2 1/4" tall and about the same in width. I can usually make one in an evening.

I've always been wanting to make a pine needle basket but have put it off for many years. So many things to try so I don't get to them all. Is it harder to make something as small as this in comparison to something about 3-4"?
