Pine Needle Basket

Something I have wanted to do for a long time is to learn how to make Pine Needle Baskets. This summer I was finally able to take a class. I have now made several baskets. The needles come fome South Carolina and are about 15" long. The center of this basket is a slice of a Black Walnut. I keep the beads that I've made in it. It is always fun and sometimes a challenge to learn something new.

This is a gorgeous piece of art. What beauty lies in the artist's hands.

It's been on my list too--but still haven't done it! This is lovely, and it's so cool to create something so beautiful with pine needles.
